Laser Cutting Services and Building Expand at Ohio Laser LLC

Ohio Laser LLC, a leading laser cutting company in the United States, increases the size of its manufacturing facility from 19,000 to 30,000 sq ft. The company plans to enlarge its space by another 4,000 sq ft. in the future, eventually giving Ohio Laser a 34,000 sq ft. facility at its Plain City, Ohio location.

The new building allows Ohio Laser to offer high levels of metal stock with a wide assortment of metal thicknesses. On any given day, Ohio Laser averages now over 1,000,000 pounds of various materials on hand. Since Ohio Laser has developed key vendor relationships, it's able to keep a strong inventory of the most commonly used alloys including:

Aluminum: 5052, 6061

Low carbon, A36, HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy)

Low carbon, A36, HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy)

Round, square, and rectangular tubes to 4 inches in diameter and up to inch wall thickness in stainless and carbon steel

Thicknesses: .002 through 1 inches

In terms of laser cutting capabilities, the company features a 6000 Watt Trumpf TruLaser 5040 system that can laser cut aluminum to 5/8 inches, carbon steel to 1 inch and stainless steel to 1 inch. Ohio Laser can do laser cutting at super-fast axially parallel speeds of up to 7874 inches per minute and simultaneous speeds of up to 11811 inches per minute.

Additionally, the TruLaser 5040 system can also do laser cutting of long and wide parts because it can accept sheets up to 80" x 160" that weigh up to 3968 pounds.

The Trumpf TruLaser 5040 even features a self-loading and unloading unit that increases output by reducing production time.
