Boost Your Business with an eBay Store

By FunCareers.com Staff

Selling items on eBay is a pretty simple process, making it an easy business to get into. In fact, all you need to start an eBay business is an eBay account and a Paypal account. It is also beneficial to take pictures of the items you will be selling. Then, all you have to do is make a few listings. If your products are popular, you won't have any problems making sales because eBay has a very large customer base. As you make a profit, you can use the money to help you expand the number of listings you have posted. Once you reach this point, you should consider starting an eBay store to help you list several items all in one place and to increase your chances of making multiple sales.

eBay says you should think about opening a basic store if you sell more than $100 of product per month through eBay. Their basic store is just $16 per month, and you get the basic features. If your business keeps growing, you can upgrade to the other types of store.

With the basic package, however, you can still enjoy a number of attractive benefits and features. You will also get a store home page, which provides you with an unlimited amount of pages to help you list your products.

As you move to higher store levels, you can enjoy a greater number of benefits. Some of these benefits include having the ability to customize your pages as well as receiving more pages. When you reach higher levels, you will also gain access to the Selling Manager Pro. This program is an expanded version of the Selling Manager you receive with the basic package.

When you have an eBay store, you'll sometimes appear on the "Shop eBay Stores"section of the search results. It doesn't happen that often with a basic store but it will still get you some exposure. As you advance through the levels, you'll find your store is featured more often. When you get to the higher levels you'll also get advanced traffic reporting and market research. If you're selling lots of products you need to consider an eBay store!
