I Just Moved, Now What?

By Jeanine Naviaux

First of all, do you have any themes in mind? Does a specific theme catches your eye when you look at? Have in mind what kind of magazines you look at when you like something. For example, do you look through Elle Decor, Home Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens or Metropolitan Home.

The next thing to start off is with the furniture. Which is the biggest and hardest thing to move and place. After you have moved it where you like it get a second opinion from a San Diego interior designer or San Diego Interior decorator like me. Both you and the interior designer can re-work the room and dicuss the colors you like and especially do not like. Also, if you have any kind of collection like art, photos etc. don't be afraid to show it off, thats why you bought it in the first place.

Moving can sometimes be very stressful, but when you decide to use an interior designer, it can be a smooth transaction. Using a good interior designer helps a lot, for example I have suggested people that I have worked with many years from a housekeeper, to a handyman, painter you name it I probably have them on my speed dial list.

If you are married and your couple likes different colors or tones than you, there are ways in which you can blend them together to create a seamless fit. That's why using an Interior Design Firm is a good way to work together and converting your dreams into reality.

Having learned some tips about decorating your new home, the next step is to have fun working on it. Don't forget that using the help of an interior designer can save you many headaches.
