My good friend Armand Morin gave me a piece of advice that I am going to share with you.
This piece of advice helped completely change my financial future forever because up until that point, I had been taking in all the information I had been learning from studying various mentors online and the value that I got from that was tremendous, but I had not yet reaped any kind of financial reward.
Once I received a little piece of advice, it set me on the right path and that, in turn, helped me generate over $111,000 worth of revenue in less than eight weeks on one project.
This is what Armand told me -
I had this great idea of packaging all of these new products and service ideas together. I was really excited to show Armand my thoughts about it when we sat down for lunch one day.
During lunch, my excitement continued as I opened up my laptop and started up my Mind Mapping software and started showing him all of my new ideas.
Right in front of me he grabbed my mouse, closed my Mind Mapping software and said, "Stop right there."
What he said then is very powerful. Write this down. He said, "Focus on the implementation. Stu, you're only going to make money on the ideas that you implement, now the thousand of ones your think of." It is all about the implementation.
People aren't going to buy just an idea. They are more likely to buy something they can see, feel, hear or experience. If you are only thinking about the money, that won't help either because it is the finished idea that will bring the sales, not just the idea.
A great example of this was when John Reese launched Traffic Secrets. He sent physical copies to a targeted list of high-level affiliates well in advance. Why did he send them physical copies? Because when people see your ideas in a finished form, they clearly see the value that it provides versus trying to describe it to them.
Focusing on the implementation is an absolute crucial step for everyone to pay attention to because until an idea is completed you can't make any money from it. Finished products mean an avenue to generate revenue.
When I was with Armand that day after he closed down my mind map, he got on the Internet and showed me a couple of his sites that are already selling products. Then he turned to me and said, "Okay Stu, now seeing that, I want to buy something from you. Where can I go to do this?"
I was dumbfounded. Why? Because I didn't have my product completed, and/or products that I did have complete, I didn't have up for sale. I didn't have a sales letter up, I didn't have a way that people could opt-in to find out new information, I didn't have an auto responder series set up, I didn't have my shopping cart set up, I didn't have anything set up where people could buy from me.
That was a complete eye opener because I learned in that instant that it doesn't matter how many ideas you have, you only make money on the sale of the finished idea.
Hopefully now you are thinking about how you can get your products/services out to your costumer base!
Remember, even though you might have the next big idea, or an idea that can really jump start your business, you won't see any results until it is implemented!
