Luxury Italian Pen Visconti

By Pri Vag

I have recently come across a pen brand called Visconti. They are a pen manufacturer from Florence Italy. I have blown away by their ingenious designs, playful colours and dedication to luxury and quality. They manufacture a wide range of high quality fountain pens, rollers and ballpoint pens, each with a strong identification.

It appears that Visconti is a very popular brand amongst many including Morgan Freeman, Clint Eastwood, Charlize Theron, Marcia Cross and Oprah Winfrey. They are all fans of the lavish ranges, which play on a treasure trove of historical moments.

This play on historical moments in their design is also what I love about Visconti's pens. All their pens are designed around themes of some of the most notable moments in art, archeology, philosophy, mathematics, literature and history. Subjects includes the Forbidden City, Art Renaissance, The Ancient Knights, Van Gough, Wall Street, Opera and many others. A story lies behind every pen, making Visconti Pens very unique.

Just some of the most notable themes I cam across, include:

H.R.H. Her Royal Highness, designed and launched in 1996, this diamond-encrusted range was dedicated to Princess Diana. It was designed following a request from the Sultan of Bruneil.

Manhattan and Wall Street was the inspiration for another simple yet highly stylish range. With an elegant clip and an original and unique shape - which is neither rounded nor square.

The Divina Proporzione collection was formulated following a study of mathematics and history. Sleek, solid and tasteful, the range definitely embodies class.

Metropolis is a clean, ergonomic and practical range. These modern pens offer a clever retractable mechanism which was conceived to create an element of surprise. With the pens comprising of 29 components, the range is intricate yet effortless.

The Forbidden City is based around the ornate palaces of the Forbidden City and their incomprehensible symbolism and secrecy, these pens sit within a 'cage' through which the gods, the dragon, the lion and the phoenix can be seen.

There are many others enjoyable themes, making Visconti a truly magical and inspiring brand. - 2364
