Affordable Health Insurance

By Tim Witters

Pre-existing conditions are defined as an existing condition that was there before you applied for your health insurance. In many circumstances, pre-existing conditions are minor. The major ones are considered to be terminal

The problem with pre-existing conditions is that they are costly for the health care system. In ordinary for the entire health care system to work, most individuals need to pay more than they would use in their lifetime. People with pre-existing conditions would be using funds before they ever paid into the system.

Just because you have a pre-existing condition does not mean you will be denied health insurance. The people who have major pre-existing conditions are put into a risk pool. People with existing conditions can still get the proper insurance.

Even though there has been a legislation passed, companies still do not provide mental health coverage. If they do, they put limitations on your services. So before you purchase insurance, you might want to look at what they offer for mental health services.

Medicaid is funded by the state and is designed to assist you with your medical bills. With the help of Medicaid, coverage can be fairly cheap. In some states, you can claim relative doctor bills up to three months prior to filing for Medicaid.

That is why you need to maintain constant coverage. If you are waiting for insurance from work then buy some temporary insurance. If you are ever injured during a time of non-coverage, it could be up to a year before you afford surgery.

I once knew a guy who was waiting for insurance from his new job when he got injured. He ended up tearing his ACL playing a sport and was unable to get the medical procedure to fix it covered. He found one agency that said they could give him $2000 of the $10,000 needed for the operation

To ensure that you do not obtain a pre-existing condition, make sure that you do not go over sixty-three days without coverage. If you lapse, then the conditions that were once covered might not be. Make sure when you switch insurance companies that you do it promptly.

Maternity Advantage cuts cost and helps you make affordable payments by reviewing your bills and searching for errors. They also offer payment and financing programs to help mothers. Both are great alternatives if you do not have health insurance.

Insurance all together is a tricky area. You need to consult with someone about your condition and how to handle the finances of a pre-existing condition. It is important that you have knowledge on how to handle your situation.

If you are injured then you need to find a way that you can get medical attention. The longer it takes you to fix the condition, the more problems can arise. You could also suffer permanently and the condition could become irreversible. - 2364
