Metal Portfolio Cases

By Shannon Hilson

The students of first year art and design are faced with several situations and details that they may get lost taking into consideration the number of factors that they need to consider before getting into school. If the concern is not for the school fee, it may be for arrangements for boarding and lodging. These details, although important, may distract them and they may end up taking wrong decisions when buying school supplies, especially art portfolio cases. When this occurs most of the students get frustrated and this degrades their overall performance in school.

Families that are on a budget do not want to have to buy new back to school supplies every semester. While most students relish the idea of going back to school with something new, this is not a feasible idea when it comes to expensive courses. This is why the type of portfolio case that they buy in the beginning should last them until they graduate and even accompany them into their profession. Of all the portfolio cases on the market, only metal art portfolio cases offer this advantage. Not only are students given a long lasting product, they are also shaped to value elegance and quality from early and this plays out in how they approach their professional life in the long run.

Most of the metal portfolio cases come with latches to guarantee flexibility, protection and long lasting quality, not like the zipper and two handle systems that is seen on most of the traditional portfolio cases. What this means is that art works would no longer be at a risk of getting damaged or torn by getting stuck inside the zipper while the zipper is being zipped or locked. Apart from all this latches are designed to keep water out of the portfolio, thus protecting the contents from water damage.

Metal case can generally resist all forms of damage, wear and tear whether the owner has a firm grip or sweaty palms while carrying the portfolio. On the other side leather may lose its shine, stitches or its complete appearance after a few months of use. People with hands that sweat a lot would quickly begin to notice that the area around the handles has lost its color due to the sweat and salt transferred by the hands of the user. Most of these factors do not have any effect on metal portfolio cases and this is the reason why they are unmatched when it comes to style and security in the long run.

When it comes to grades, skills, appearance, coursework and dedication all play an important role. Most the professors do not accept art work that is either creased or seriously damaged and grade it according to how it has been presented. Depending on the given situation, traditional art portfolios become crumpled very easily and may damage the artwork that is stored inside them. On the other hand metal portfolios can stand impacts and bumps without showing any signs of damage and protect their contents even if they are damaged from the outside.
