Finance Power: How To Easily Control The Mind of an Investor

By James Scott

Discovering the 'thumbscrews' of investors is crucial to getting them to take action. In over a decade of dealing with global investors there are several elements that I've discovered to be universal truths about the mind of the private investor (angel investor, accredited investor).

When talking to an investor for the first time, it's more important to listen than to speak. It's more important to ask questions than answer them. It's more important to discover their needs and wants than to exclaim your own. Your first conversation with an investor should be all about piercing the armor and finding the trigger points that prompt a reaction that gets to the center of their 'childlike' state.

What I mean by this is, investors, just like anyone else, has insecurities that are rooted in their childhood and what they are outwardly today, is typically a polar opposite of what they are on the inside. For example, an arrogant, chest beater seems proud and obnoxious on the outside but the reality is that they are over compensating for an insecurity that is rooted in an individual or collection of childhood incidents.

Maybe they were made fun of as a child, maybe they're father was verbally abusive, maybe their teachers would single them out in class opening them up to playground mockery. When talking to these individuals it's important to listen to their voice and intonation when the conversation topic changes. Take notes on their psychological adjustments to the conversation. After you feel you have discovered the triggers that induce the 'pleasurable' responses, end the call, and set your second phone appointment with them.

On that second call, you want to have your conversation ready to go using the triggers you found in the first conversation. Play off of those insecurities that you found, become their best friend without being chummy but it is your mission on this call to be the "guy that understand me" to the investor. You want the overall tone of this conversation to have the response from your target along the theme of, "wow, this guy gets me" , "I can see investing in this company".

By using this method and not coming across as 'fake', you have become an investment opportunity and a shrink all rolled into one. You want to be the one person that this investor can lower his guard to because everything he says, you seem to be the one person who understands him at his deepest level. You seem to naturally be tuned into his insecurities, emotions, needs and wants. Sound strange? Try this out on the next investor you talk to, I guaranty you will be shocked with the results. - 2364

The Importance Of Buddhist Funeral Rites

By Shiela Wong

One of the most widespread religions in the world, Buddhism derives its main principles from the teachings of the Buddha. Buddhism entails quest for the Ultimate Truth as well as a spirit of compassion and true love for every creature.

Buddhist funeral rites also rely on these basic tenets of the religion. There are certain mandatory rites that need to be adhered to during the funeral of a deceased person. These rites are meant to ensure that the deceased is elevated to a higher stage. Prayers are chanted invoking the positive energies associated with the deceased for his or her ultimate deliverance from this cycle of life.

The funeral rituals start with giving the deceased a traditional wash. Buddhist monks chant different religious scriptures, and these chants are believed to give the deceased the right guidance to achieve spiritual liberation. Then the Lord Buddha's teachings that emphasize on the significance of kindness and concern are read out loud by the monks. Meanwhile, the body is prepared for the final journey. The relatives normally keep some coins in the casket of the deceased. This is supposed to help the deceased cross the River of Three Hells to reach his ultimate destination.

The casket is then put before the altar at home for the loved ones to pay their respects. Attendees are required to pray for the deceased and the family and friends give their condolences. The monks carrying out the ritual keep reciting the sutras along with the proceedings. Once the recital is complete, people bow at the altar to pay their last respects. As the visitors start leaving, the family members present a gift to each other to show gratitude for partaking in their sorrow.

The family can decide upon whether to bury the body or cremate it according to their familial customs, once all these essential rituals are over. The different ceremonies are a way of bringing peace and acceptance to the family members of the deceased as they know their prayers are aimed at elevating the status of the departed in his life after death. - 2364

Take Your Company Public: Here Is Exactly How To Do It

By James Scott

Going public, the ultimate in the evolution of companies who are seeking access to powerful global finance options for rapid expansion, deepening corporate roots and gaining industry prominence as a true powerhouse and player. The process of going public is technical yet pretty straight forward: business plan, Private Placement Memorandum, Direct Public Offering, Financial Audit, S-1 filing, SEC comments phase, SEC approval, FINRA approval, symbol and then you're public.

Never price shop for consultants that take companies public and be weary of consultants that will start off a conversation by answering questions geared toward price and giving you quotes without understanding your business first; without the proper information a realistic quote can't be given anyway.

When you've found a consultant that you're comfortable with you'll need to get a solid understanding of their full range of services. Of course you'll want a consulting firm that will handle all of the above for your company but you'll also need to consider the post IPO services. What happens after you're public? The reality is, selling off stock in a rapid fashion to raise capital is the last thing you want to do, instead you need to approach your consultant and market maker on how to cross collateralize your securities to raise equity loan capital.

This can be done easily and quickly if you've brought on the right group of advisers to expand your company to the global public. When considering the idea of taking your company public it's important to note that there are many ways to raise capital after you are public without selling off chunks of your company (consult your financial advisers for more information).

Next, when deciding on a consultant they should also have solid investor relationships to assist your company in raising the capital necessary to go public. A true turn-key consultant will have a database of investors seasoned in the process of pre-IPO finance and will often times jump at the chance of investing in the PPM and DPO phase at a discount for companies that are in the process of going public as this almost guarantees that the investor will double or triple their initial investment when the company achieves public status.

Out of the hundreds of consulting firms that offer the 'take your company public' service, there are only a dozen or so that actually offer the complete full range of services needed to successfully accomplish public status in a way that maintains investor confidence and corporate longevity. Do your research and find a firm that is well seasoned in the turbulent waters of this industry. - 2364

How An Efficient Traffic Management Plan Works

By Dennis Dandolo

It is a fact that most of the roads all over the world are dealing with traffic as we speak. Although on different levels, some with light traffic and others heavily congested, it is traffic all the same. It is also an undeniable fact that nobody really likes to be caught up in a traffic jam, no matter how small. Traffic is a sure fire way to create, or even worsen an already foul mood for the person who is behind the wheel.

This is why it is really important for the agency that deals with traffic control to have a very effective traffic management plan. That way, the traffic will lessen or abate. Not to mention the lessening of bad accidents that are related to the traffic.

A good traffic management plan gives the agency the proper means of setting up and implementing all kinds of road works and solutions that would ultimately benefit the consumers. These plans and solutions not only include the normal, everyday road situation, but also situations that involve roadside works such as construction and repairs; road asphalting and line marking; major and minor events such as parades, street or block parties and festivals; as well as sports events such as cycling and running marathons.

It is the utmost intention of the effective traffic management plan to keep all the motorists and people on the road safe as much as possible. The objective is also to make sure that all the people using the roads encounter only the smallest amount of interruption.

It is of the essence that these traffic agencies function by means of the traffic management plan and that all the traffic management workers utilize or drive all the way through whatever road and work zone needs the most attention as much as possible with the principle of verifying if a particular traffic resolution is reasonable. They do this to be able to confirm if the lane widths are practicable, that all the traffic cones are standing and spaced appropriately in order to mark a sufficient lane; in addition to checking that all the warning and road signs are visible and placed correctly.

Most importantly, these traffic management agencies should utilize all the resources, equipment, vehicles and manpower that is afforded them at all times, particularly in the event of an emergency. Doing so ensures minimal assembly time so that they can get to an accident area immediately. The manpower should comprise of highly trained people to be able to lessen the dangers and possible injuries that a motorist will face. That being said, all the resources should be kept in tiptop shape and that each member of the team be the best qualified for the job at hand. - 2364

2008 SEC Championship Game: Florida Stuns Alabama

By Ross Everett

The Florida Gators rampage through the SEC reached its culmination with a 31-20 victory over #1 ranked Alabama in the conference championship game. The Gators scored-- 4th quarter points to secure victory in a contest that was an epic struggle for three quarters with five lead changes and two ties. This victory set the stage for the Gators' appearance in the National Championship Game.

The Gators scored first, taking a 7-0 lead on a three yard Tim Tebow TD pass to Carl Moore. The Crimson Tide quickly answered, tying the score on an eighteen yard run by Glen Coffee and taking their first lead of the game at 10-7 several minutes later on a 30 yard FG by Leigh Tiffin. Florida came right back in the second quarter, tying the game on a Jonathan Phillips' yard FG and taking a 17-10 lead into the halftime break on another Tebow TD pass, this one to David Nelson from five yards out. Alabama regained control in the third quarter, tying the score on a 2 yard Mark Ingram touchdown run and then regaining the lead at 20-17 in the final seconds of the period on another Tiffin field goal. Florida put them away for good in the fourth, however, on a 1 yard Jeffrey Demps TD run followed by Tebows third touchdown strike of the day.

As was the case more often than not during Floridas run to the BCS title game, Tim Tebow was the big star for the Gators. The junior QB had 216 yards passing with 3 TDs and no interceptions plus fifty seven yards on the ground. Florida head coach Urban Meyer wasnt hesitant about praising Tebow effusively in his post game comments:

"I've had some great players, and I've got some great players on this team. But I've never had one like this. Tim's got something special inside him. I'm not talking about throwing. I'm not talking about running. I'm talking about making everyone around him better. That fourth quarter was vintage Tim Tebow.

Alabama coach Nick Saban agreed:

"He's a great competitor. He takes his teammates on his shoulders a lot. They have a lot of confidence he's going to make plays, and they play that way. They scored two touchdowns where we had them covered about as well as we could cover them."

The conventional wisdom is that the Gators are a speed and finesse team, but according to cornerback Joe Haden the world has underestimated their toughness:

"Our team is a tough team. The only reason they look past our toughness is our speed. They said we were a speed team and they were a tough team. We're just as tough. We can still be pretty and fast and tough at the same time."

Even in defeat, it was impossible to overlook the remarkable resurgance of Alabama football. In only two years at the helm, Nick Saban has amassed a'-7 record at Alabama with no signs of slowing down. - 2364

Hotel Facilities Vary Depending Upon the Service Level

By Adriana Noton

Many people wonder why they get charged one rate at a Super 8. airport hotels and another at a Hilton when they are using nothing more than a bed. If that is the case, they may be staying at the wrong type of hotel facilities and could use a little guidance as to what to expect based on the top of property that they are staying. Lodging comes in three different tiers and each one of them is meant to service a specific market.

The lowest level of amenities will be received at extended stay properties. These are properties that are strictly meant for longer stays that will not cost as much money as any other type of hotel or motel. The reason the rates are so low is because they do not usually offer the types of amenities that people would generally expect from a hotel.

It is a rare extended stay property that will have a rate anywhere near $100/night. The longer the guest is staying, the more likely that the rate will be lower. For this generous rate, they get very little other than a bed and a parking spot. There will usually be laundry facilities of some type and maid service will be very limited.

One step up would be considered limited service properties. These are properties like the Garden Inn or Days Inn. Room rates are a little higher, but there is not much more in the way of the typical hotel amenities. Owners of these properties make some of the highest profits in the industry so you can expect them to be clean, but they will be run very tight.

Maid service in limited service properties will usually be a daily occurrence, unless they are at the bottom tier of the scale. They may even only offer it on request. While some of them offer meeting rooms and banquet space, it is very limited. There may or may not be a restaurant on property and will probably offer a continental breakfast for their guests.

The hotels with the best hotel facilities are known as full service hotels. For these amenities, the guest can expect to pay considerably more. A nice travel tip is to look for full service hotels that are surrounded by limited service hotels. They will have to drop their rates to stay competitive in their market.

Types of full service hotels would be properties such as Hilton and Marriott. They are typical of full service hotels in that they treat their VIP members like gold. Their highest levels can expect free breakfast, a welcome amenity, honor bar with free hours d' oeuvres and express check ins. These types of properties are generally required to have a full service restaurant, health spa, snack shop along with high end banquet facilities.

If a travel is doing nothing more than sleeping in their room, why waste the money at a full service hotel. A place like the Garden Inn will still offer a free continental and a high level of service. When the guest wants to be pampered, pay the few extra dollars and take advantage of the hotel facilities that are offered. - 2364

Choosing The Right Investor To Take Your Business Public

By James Scott

So many companies dream of going public to raise massive amounts of capital, as set up for an exit strategy, to make acquisitions with stock and for many other reasons. While your intentions may be pure and with genuine motives, you're entering shark infested waters of boiler rooms, crooked attorneys and underbelly consultants who have made careers off of taking well intentioned executives just like you for a 24 month rollercoaster ride while they take every penny you have as your company shrivels up like week old road kill.

Just and honest consultants in the 'public offering' industry are as rare as the illusive white elephant. This industry exists in a cesspool surrounded by rose gardens; from afar it looks amazing and an image of a dreamland but get up and close and the sludge and odor are enough to make you run and hide. So what do you look for in a consultant? The best consulting firms are the 'boutique firms' with minimal overhead that keep a low profile and are made up of 3 or 4 'partner' consultants.

These firms typically have the experience of working with the large consulting groups but for one reason or another have decided to leave and go out on their own. The great thing is, these small groups typically have massive contacts and process your entire public offering in-house. Offering a complete turn-key solution that is managed in-house offers a huge advantage because there is accountability and you can actually build a relationship with the people that are making your dream of a public offering come true.

These 'boutique' consultants will usually stay onboard as growth consultants for the life of the company in exchange for modest fees and a pre-IPO or pre-OTCBB equity position. The large firms will hack you out at the knees and gouge you with fees while they take massive amounts of equity in your company which takes away your bartering chip when you need to offer more stock to the public to raise capital.

The small firms will also work one on one with you to show you how to use your stock to grow through acquisition and other nifty ways to use stock to grow. Seek out the boutique consulting firm and save the attorney for spot audits. Hold on to your cash. Why pay outrageous fees to lawyers when you can pay 60% less with a small consulting firm that will add all the bells and whistles for free and actually get your stock trading, usually in half the time? - 2364

What Are The Common Mistakes In Outsourcing?

By Jimmy Villaruel

When involved and working in internet marketing it is a good idea to build a virtual team and outsource it. When you outsource it, you need a web guy, you need someone who helps with your off site promotion stuff as well. You need a few key players who've been skilled up in particular tactics. You obviously need a video guy, someone doing some sort of article or writing related stuff and then after you've mapped out that strategy, you just talk to your team and say things that need to be done.

The things that you need to work and need to be involved in are things where it's really at the top end working with the client generating the content. When you are required to make over a site, you need to be involved personally. Then it is going to be distributed out through the different media, be it taking the videos that you do and getting transcripts done and posting them out as videos or posting the videos themselves. That sort of stuff is hard to outsource.

From there you identify what your objectives are when you outsource it. You pick off what those low hanging fruit, easiest hidden resources are and go for those methods.

I'll stress again, it comes back to the objective. We get so caught up in the process. Which software do we want to use? It's not even serving your objective, it's creating more work and you're spinning your wheels.

To change direction, consider how you go about implementing some of this online and off line publicity to drive traffic to the sites. One of the mistakes people make, new people make is that they don't use leverage. There are still some other very internet marketing 101 things going on, like there is no offer, no call to action on the site mainly around an opt in box, whether you use a squeeze page or an opt in box. The biggest mistake is it's below the fold.

The other biggest fault I continue to see is in the copy and that is that the information is more about the company than about the benefits that the visitor will get from buying the service or the product that you recommending or talking about or selling.

Other than that, the big one in the new media is not having text to go with non text media. So search engines cannot find you if you're using a lot of audio and a lot of video. I've seen a lot of video blogs with a lot of great information but there's no good headline or summary of that information, it's just, hey, check out my latest video post. People aren't sitting down searching, 'hey, video post.'

Number one I still see is the keywords people choose are still the solution and not the pain. So if you've created this new invention and you expect people to be searching for it, that won't work. The most basic example is, people type in headache or migraine, they don't type in paracetamol. I continue to see that on keyword selection.

Keyword selection is one of the most important things and one of the first places, at least when you get to the point of building your website that you need to focus on. It's important to figure out the point at which your clients, the cycle they have, the point at which they are in the buying part of that cycle. You need to discover how to get in front of them and then find those keywords.

Researching long tail keywords is also very important. Let's say they're going after a particular camera or something like that and you go for the specific model number because that is a buying person. Similarly, if someone has a problem with a headache, we need to know what is it that they're typing into the search engine at the time of them having a headache. - 2364

The Screen Printing Process

By Raymond Sung

Screen printing is a printing process that makes use of a woven mesh to hold an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil outlines the open areas of the mesh that transfer ink in the form of a sharp-edged image on the surface that is to be printed and this surface is called substrate. On the screen stencil, a squeegee or roller moves and pumps the ink on the open areas that are to be printed with that particular color.

Silk screening or serigraph also involves screen printing. In this, the stencil method of the print making imposes a design on the screen of silk or any other fine mesh and the empty areas are covered with an impermeable substance while the ink is put on the printing surface through the mesh. The silk printing was the traditional method but now it has been replaced with the polyester for screen painting.

Screen painting is the technique developed by the Chinese almost 2000 years back and the screen was made of human hair stretched across a wooden frame. The Japanese developed it further by using the woven silk as mesh and lacquers as stencils. Europe adopted this technique much later as it involved silk which was not available in the Europe.

The screen printing in the United Sates became popular when the artist Andy Warhol screen printed Marilyn Monroe in year '62 in the garish colors. In year '60, the American entrepreneur, inventor and artist Michael Vasiltone developed and patented a rotary multicolor garment screen printing machine. He used this rotary machine to manufacture and print information of bowling on different garments but soon he turned his attention on printing team logos and information on t-shirts. This soon led to led a boom in t-shirt screen printing business and many more manufacturers licensed from him in order to print on t-shirts. The rotary garment screen printing machine became the most popular device used in the screen printing industry.

The printing on the canvas with the help of the screen-printing also became popular with the artists. Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg and many other artists have made use of screen-printing on the canvas. The commercial as well as the fine arts industry is using this screen printing industry to increase their profits and they use it to make prints on the CD and DVD covers, t-shirts, hats and also on the metals and many more things.

Screen printing is used extensively in the printing industry to mass create so many items specifically t-shirts. It is excellent for both short and long-run printing. For large volumes the process can be set up on a printing drum but for small runs a simple manual setup can be used.

Large and small corporate give gifts to their employees and clients in appreciation of their work and also to motivate the employees to perform better. The Corporate gifts are usually screen printed with the company logo and some motivational sentiments. The corporate gifts are given at the time of holidays like Christmas and New Year. There are many different types of corporate gifts like t-shirts, bags, glasses and like. The screen printed t-shirts are also given to the employees during the annual events of the corporate. - 2364

The Fundamentals Of Carbon Credits And Its Advantages

By Ronald Morgan

Carbon credits and carbon trading are hot topics for debates and conventions on environmental issues, but a majority of us are not completely acquainted with these concepts. In the carbon trading system, commercial entities have to adhere to the emission caps of greenhouse gases as fixed by the Kyoto Protocol that governs and allocates these caps across nations to encourage controlled emissions or discourage carbon-intensive methods of operating industries.

Carbon credits are allocated to industries and governments throughout the world, which allows the owner to discharge a limited quantity of CO2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. One carbon credit amounts to one ton of carbon dioxide released in the environment. This implies companies and industrial units can engage in buying and selling of carbon credits based on their respective levels of emissions, thereby keeping the whole world's emission level within prescribed limits.

The major advantage of carbon trading is that it results in a situation where companies tending to exceed their emission allowances have to make payment of a substantial sum to do so, as they have to buy carbon credits from the world market. However, both entities selling and purchasing the credits can be found in the carbon credits world market. Hence the overall economy does not lose out at all, while companies with environment friendly mechanisms make more profits. This makes organizations shift away from the carbon centric methods of manufacturing, and so the emission levels decrease.

A company - large or small- that timely opts for a more eco-friendly and greener approach to operating business is certain to be rewarded as carbon credits are transacted on the open bourses and can be bought or sold by anyone. This trading strategy ensures instant and great rewards for companies with a low emission history. Moreover, with countries and their administration engaged with the idea, national governments on their part would have to ask local industries to decrease emissions, and therefore these governments would be taken away from their traditional stance of indifference towards environmental issues.

Carbon tax is another alternative that may be implemented, in which organizations responsible for pollution are penalized but eco-friendly organizations are not rewarded for low emissions. The effectiveness of such systems is quite debatable and issue of contention at times.

In a short span since its adoption, carbon trading has proven to be the most appropriate means to tackle the problem of carbon emissions. The carbon trading market has seen tremendous growth in the past few years, which most people see as proof that the system works effectively. - 2364

The Truth About The History Of E Commerce

By David Green

Way before the first Internet connection started, ecommerce has already began. In 1960s, things began happening that brought ecommerce to its level today.

It was in the 1960s when EDI was first developed. EDI means Electronic Data Interchange. This is a set of standards for electronic transactions and exchange of business information. Despite this development, many companies were still unable to transact business electronically due to the difference in EDI formats. It was only in 1984 when ASC x12 became the standard used for large electronic transactions that made it possible for companies to transact business electronically.

Eight years later in 1992, the first point and click web browser was developed, called Mosaic. Then the first downloadable browser, Netscape, was developed based on Mosaic, and this gave people with Internet access the ability to participate in electronic commerce. This was really the first step in the history of e commerce that lead to the widespread e commerce usage we see today.

DSL or high-speed Internet let more users take advantage of e commerce with more convenience, with the holiday season of 1998 setting a record of the most e commerce sales until that point. Online sales for AOL during that 10-week Christmas season topped 1 billion.

Red Hat Linux was developed, giving computer users a choice. No longer was Windows the only option, consumers could opt for reliable and open-sourced Linux, instead. Now that there was competition, Windows began expanding its ability to handle e commerce.

In 1999, Napster was founded and though it started as a means for users to share music files for free,it became an important step in the history of ecommerce. As ecommerce become more popular, consumers were given the chance to voice out their opinions. In 2000, Time Warner and AOL merged. By then, Ebay, Amazon.com, and Yahoo became popular sites for ecommerce. Hackers found ways to attack these sites which made higher internet security a necessity. This also pushed for the lobbying of a more secured browser interfaces.

Every major retail players like Sears, Wal-Mart and Borders bookstore have online presence that allows for convenience to transact business electronically that even traditional companies started adapting to ecommerce. In 2001, business to business transactions amounted to $700B. While more people have discovered convenience of doing ecommerce in the comforts of their home, it's clear that ecommerce history is not yet a closed book as it is still continually changing and becoming more popular as online shopping. - 2364

Think Right and Change Your World

By Dr. Jay Polmar

Human beings have an amazing Power attached to their thoughts. Think about it. You have amazing POWER connected to your THOUGHTS. Let me rephrase it: Your have energy connected to your power of thinking. Now that I've informed you of this, do you instinctively worry about those thoughts that run endlessly through your head? What about that "babbling voice" that lives somewhere inside you? And, you know it drives millions of people to see their therapists every week. When you search for it - it calls out to you: "Voice? Voice? What voice? I don't hear any voice?" THAT'S YOUR BABBLING VOICE.

Maybe, you think that voice doesn't drive people nuts. Do you have any idea how much money is spent on psychiatry and psychiatric hospitals every year in the US? No one does, the American Psychiatric Association keeps the true cost secret. Did you know that the real reason behind the psychiatry is usually - the inability to control one's inner babbling chatterbox. The goal here is for you to know how to ThinkRight.

Without your personal involvement and personal direction - FATE wins, and life sucks. Can you be responsible enough to get totally involved with your life? When you get totally involved, you get everything you want in life.

In life, without your personal involvement and personal direction - FATE wins, and life sucks. Are you responsible enough to get totally involved with your life? When you get totally involved, you get everything you want in life and it's a quality life. Fear of change is the greatest restriction for far too many people. They don't realize that to change means to grow -- to evolve into being a more capable and successful human. Are you responsible enough to say: "I must change, I will change, and I am changing"?

Isn't it time to give yourself the opportunity to change. Be a winner in life just by opening your mind and your heart to listen to your own insights and intuition. Although they aren't the only path to success, they are the easiest. To succeed, just listen to the inner voice of wisdom and not any chatterbox voice of fear. All those people who can't hear that voice because of their uncontrolled babbling voice, aimlessly drift through life in a filled with fear and doubt. You can stop the drifting through fear; learn how to THINKRIGHT -- open yourself to the true winner within. - 2364

The key trick is in choosing your market slice. You must choose a slice of the market where people want to keep memories alive in print. It must also be an event that is hard to capture for a not professional so that they will need your services.

One idea is to go to kids sports events. Get permission from the coach to click pics for the parents watching and then start clicking away. If you turn up with a massive telephoto lens like the ones used for pro coverage of events, you will be taken seriously. Make sure you get all the children doing great action shots and then hand out flyers to all the parents watching with your web address. If you can grab the parents email address so you can email them the URL of you site then upload the pics to your web site that day and email everyone. If you have a simple shopping cart set up you can make money in a few hours as people pop in to see the pics and buy them for $20 or more a pop.

You can do a similar thing with weddings. Take all the normal pictures as part of the wedding coverage but then get your URL printed on the wedding invites and all the other wedding materials and also get an email list of all the wedding guests, offer the couple a nice 20% discount for doing this and then take lots of extra pics at the wedding of the guests doing all the things they do. Upload all the pics to your site and send the emails. You will then make a lot more money than the 20% discount it cost you because then 30 or 40 people will be also purchasing your pics at $20 or more a shot straight from your site. Charging a higher price for high res pics is also a great money spinner.

The key is to just find a corner of the market where you can take the pics and then sell them easily online.

Dog shows, fashion shows, horse shows, car shows, livestock competitions, rock shows, - the list goes on. Keep your eye out in the events section of your local paper to see what is happening. Always ask for permission to shoot pics and if you need to offer the people 10% of the income if feel you need to so you can get easy access. - 2364

The Fluorescent High Bay : Illumination For All Your Industrial Optical Needs

By Max Kinsler

Why choose fluorescent high bay light fittings? Well there are many reasons and we hope to give you a little more information before you make the wrong choice. Essentially you would use this type of lighting in industrial factories and assembly lines. They will illuminate large areas because they are connected or fitted to the ceiling of the factory or warehouse. Normally you would find three types of commonly used bay lights like; fluorescent lamps, high pressure sodium lamps and metal halide lamps.

These fluorescents are especially good to use for assembly line type of work because the color resembles natural light. It is very difficult for workers to achieve maximum production under low yellow tint lights of the sodium lights and more people complain that the metal halide is too bright for their eyes.

Most new factories are being erected to these specifications and many older factories are changing to high bay fluorescent lighting. It is very cost saving for companies relying on donations like non profit organizations and churches. These fixtures are also available with ballasts, which are devices that regulate light when it should be discharged at a certain time of day or night. This is a huge help because electricity bills can be slashed by forty percent per month.

If you do not have a heavy duty industrial manufacturing plant, then you can also go for a more tailored style to render lighting for general tasks by officer workers and such. Or should you be building an outdoor pavilion then you can definitely benefit by installing a high pressure sodium lighting system. This lights will give you excellent illumination at night for sports events or even big outdoor entertainment events as well.

So let's sum up and have a quick glance as what is available:

High Pressure Sodium fixtures - these are preferred by commercial warehouses. They tend to offer a long lamp life which is said to be approximately 25,000 hours. They do however tend to give a yellow huge which is annoying to some people. But where coloring is not important, these light fixtures are suitable.

Metal Halide - Most people working on assembly lines prefer to work under the bright white light of these fixtures. They are expensive and renders 7,500 hours or so, making frequent replacements inevitable.

Fluorescent high bay - these fixtures render color more effectively than other light sources, and they use far less power than HID fixtures. Although the light is less controllable and intense, it tends to be more evenly distributed. Fluorescent lights are well suited for lighting huge areas of floor space where activities require clear visibility which gives no glare or shadow. - 2364

Getting Started With Intellectual Property (IP)

By Cedric Davis

If you look at the books of large businesses these days you will see that their intellectual property (IP) adds a enormous amount to the balance sheet. In fact most businesses fixed assets are minute in comparison to the brand and IP value. This tells us something very interesting - yes - how much more would your business be worth if you invested more in intellectual property (IP) identification and registration?

When a business strategically identifies, maintains and secures its intellectual property rights then this can obviously have a huge impact on the business in terms of its overall operation, including its ability to appeal to investors, enter into particular business partnership, and in the end increase its value when it comes to sale or company merger.

Large businesses who have mega-brands like Google and Pepsi are often quoted when it comes to their brand value as out-valuing their fixed assets hundreds of times, yet it is easy to forget how these companies also became so big.

We live in an information world now. Information companies like Google can be valued at a few billion dollars a few years after creation only because information is now so valuable. Information is a tradable asset only when it is protected by intellectual property (IP) laws and other laws. Every business, big or small should take intellectual property seriously. It is one of the best investments literally you can make with a company if the intellectual property (IP) value is capitalized within the company and added to the balance sheet.

It is highly recommended for companies of all sizes to be aware of intellectual property issues and produce direct strategies that will proactively ensure that their intellectual property (IP) will at all times be properly legally protected.

Here are a few areas to help you start focusing on by first identifying the areas that you are creating intellectual property in:

1. Trademarks - these protect parts of your overall brand such as mottoes, pictures, names.

2. Copyrights - these cover the protection of expressive items such as documents, books, pictures, video recordings, audio recordings etc.

3. Trade secrets - these protect proprietary information, internal know-how, systems and operations that are deemed to give you a business competitive edge

4. Patents and industrial designs which protect specific types of ideas and inventions and processes

Considering the above items the first step that you need to do is identifying current IP within your company. You may be amazed by how much you may have. Once all sources of a company's intellectual property have been identified, processes should be put in place that enable the company to easily keep track of all existing IP and all new IP . Then someone needs to be given the responsibility to manage the IP.

Once the key IP has been identified then the next step is to look at what should be registered to protect it legally. This is where a good patent lawyer comes in to play. Good intellectual property (IP) lawyers don't come cheap but seeing the value that is created then it pays off to invest for all your major intellectual property (IP). - 2364

MMA Flashback: Sobral Beats Southworth For Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Title

By Ross Everett

Renato Babalu Sobral defeated Bobby Southworth by TKO to become Strikeforce light heavyweight champion in the co-main event of the promotions 'Destruction' card on Friday night. Despite leaving with the belt around his waist, it wasn't a highlight reel worthy finish.

A -350 wagering favorite despite his challenger status, Sobral was expected to use his world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills and vast experience against superior competition to dominate the tough but limited Southworth. It didnt happen that way, as Southworth easily got the better of things in the first round.

The first round displayed Southworth's style in microcosm, with much of the frame spent pushing Babalu up against the cage or on the ground inside his guard not really doing much. Sobral had one effective strike the entire round"and it would decide the fight. During a clinch against the cage wall the challenger rocked Southworth with a hard elbow strike that not only busted his nose but opened a huge cut over his right eye.

Upon seeing the gusher of blood Referee John McCarthy brought the ringside physician over to take a look. The doctor took some time to examine the cut, but eventually the round resumed following the consultation with only a few seconds remaining. As Southworth's corner futilely worked on the gaping wound during the break the doctor once again took a look and recommended to McCarthy that the fight be stopped. As a result, Sobral was awarded the TKO victory and the championship belt.

The other half of the co-main event was decided in much more decisive fashion as Scott Smith knocked out well traveled veteran Terry Martin in a mere :24 seconds. Unfortunately, Martin didn't adequately close the distance against a fighter dubbed 'Hands of Steel' and was caught with a perfectly placed punch that knocked him out cold.

In the semifinal event, Duane 'Bang' Ludwig defeated Yves Edwards by unanimous decision in a very closely contested bout. Edwards was originally slated to face lightweight champion Josh Thomson until a toe injury necessitated his withdrawal. Ludwig took the fight on two weeks notice, and after a takedown clinic by Edwards in the first began to control the fight with his superior standup skills. Edwards' superiority on the ground in the first two frames wasnt enough to sway the judges who obviously favored Ludwig's more effective striking. All three judges scored the contest 29-28 Ludwig, and he may have earned himself a championship match as a result.

Earlier in the evening, Kim Couture made short work of overmatched Lina Kvokov as she TKOd her foe in 1:44 of the first round. Couture, the wife of UFC legend Randy Couture, gained even more notoriety for the courage she displayed in her professional debut last June. After having her jaw broken early in the first round, she refused to throw in the towel and went the distance despite a horrific injury. She had a much easier time here"despite the fact that both fighters entered with 0-1 records Couture was significantly more polished as she put Kvokov on the defensive from the outset with her sharp punching combinations. Kvokov kept displaying the rookie mistake of trying to turn away from Couture's blows. The reprieve was only temporary, however, as Couture launched another barrage of punches prompting the referee to step in and wave off the non-competitive affair. - 2364

A Grieving Family Can Derive Great Support From A Good Funeral Director

By Abby Esteban

Funeral directors act as a pillar of strength when families are distraught with grief after the demise of a family member or a near and dear one. They take care of the intricacies of all the preparations that need to be made, leaving the grieving members to deal with their overwrought emotions without having to worry about the details of the service.

The funeral director needs to take responsibility for many tasks in the funeral procedures beginning with transporting the body from the morgue or the residence of the departed to the burial site. Formalities and all the documentation involved like getting a death certificate, approvals for holding the funeral, organ donation process if any, and much more will need to be overseen by the funeral director.

An efficient funeral director also acts as a single contact point for all services necessary for the funeral like managing vendors of flowers, music, food etc. He is the one responsible to publish obituary and funeral notices in newspapers and get in touch with family members, friends and well-wishers of the departed to attend the funeral service.

After discussions with the family, the funeral director decides on a suitable date, venue and time for both the memorial service and the burial of the body. The visitation ceremony in which the family members of the departed are consoled by relatives and friends is also organised by him to a large extent. Only when the grave is sealed does the funeral director's task really end on the funeral day.

In order to manage these functions towards successful conducting of the funeral service, the funeral director should have essential traits of compassion and a service oriented attitude. You must hence make sure that the funeral director you wish to employ has proper licenses and enough experience. He must be known to perform his job sincerely rather than as an external party, which might charge you a lot and not offer the right type of services. - 2364

Things To Look For When Choosing A Self Storage Company

By Rommel Rodriguez

Often there is the worry that use of a self-storage facility might make the theft of your personal items and belongs easier. Because of the security precautions that self-storage companies take, you should not worry about theft.

Following are a few things you want to be sure of regarding security before engaging a self-storage company:

Alarm systems - find out if they have them and if they are monitored by on-site security guards and/or the police at all times. There should be an alarm on your unit as well as for the compound. With these systems in place, it is very difficult for thieves to move inside the premises.

Smoke Alarms - They are vital to self-storage units and can prevent unpredictable disasters. Almost all self-storage units prohibit smoking at their facility since it is a fire risk.

Restricted access that requires all visitors to sign in and out prior to accessing the storage facility or they must utilize a physical key pass.

Closed Circuit TV cameras that are normally watched all day and night. CCTV cameras are installed in all good storage facilities these days to ensure complete security. Continuous guarding of the interiors of a warehouse is possible through this system, which can efficiently avert any act of theft or burglary inside the premises. Door alarms are a regular feature as well and combined with electronic access to all doors it is quite easy now to find a breach.

The key-code or swipe card or key allowing access to your unit will only be provided to you. Unless you grant prior permission, no one else will be able to access the unit. Such highly secure systems are perfect for storing items that are extremely precious or secretive.

Does anybody watch the units all day and night?

A reinforced unit will be better at preventing theft.

Besides these, there are a number of other technologies with attractive aspects that are more and more being used by storage firms. This has guaranteed a highly safe preservation of your goods at costs that perfectly fit your budget. - 2364

Use Gifts To Build Client Loyalty

By Don Wong

The increasingly adopted custom of offering corporate gifts is not as known to people as gifts given by everyone to near and dear ones. These gifts, unlike gifts to friends and family, are given to clients or people working in your organization to convey thankfulness for their association or service.

Corporate gifts are normally expensive items and they do not carry any company logo or brand name, as their purpose is not marketing or promotion. However, at times corporations also give employees and potential clients promotional merchandise such as USB drives, pens, key-chains and stationery items that are emblazoned with the business logo.

Similar to any other gifts, the choice of a corporate gift also depends on the person to whom the item is to be presented. Firms typically like to give personalised and expensive gifts to their key customers, but internally they normally distribute a moderately expensive, but highly functional gift.

The effect of the corporate gift on the rapport with a customer or a team member depends on how expensive the person perceives the gift to be. Referring to internal lawyers of your company before giving corporate gifts is recommended, because in some countries the law might forbid it.

Preparation for giving corporate gifts involves estimating the expense, arriving at the quantity of gifts, and finding out offers available in the market for a mass purchase. The preparation is more important with respect to employee gifts, even more so if your company is a mid-sized or large entity. You should buy the correct number of gifts so that no employee whom you plan to appreciate is missed out.

To summarize, the custom of giving a corporate gift to your customers and employees is a good way to build sound working associations. However, always ensure that it is allowed by government regulations, and of course, by your financial position. - 2364

Green Screen Studio Make Special Effects Possible

By Phil Guye

Shooting at a Green screen studio isn't just a very good experience, but also one that doesn't shake your financial position up. Today, everybody looks to be giving a lot of thought to the quantity of money that they're spending on a flick. It is important for them to count every single dollar before shelling it out. No wastage can be afforded, because money is in such short supply. With the IRS respiring down your neck, trying to collect your taxes down to the last cent, the last thing you need is a problem with the revenue department. Thus if you were to shoot at a facility like this, you could ensure that your money was spent well and not a cent went down the drain.

Looking for a studio to provide all those computer effects generating technologies that a Green screen studio provides should be one of the things that are on the requirements list of a director. This is particularly true if he's shooting a film which has dinosaurs and oversized snakes or a scene with J Lo and Brad Pitt lounging around sexily on the mossy ground in an exotic, alien Amazon forest. He actually won't be successful if he is going to run around in a real forest looking for these prehistoric creatures to physically shoot.

Instead, going to the technical staff of Green screen studio could help him a great amount. They're going to be ready to help him with workable suggestions for creating just the sort of ambience that he's looking for. Considering the indisputable fact that he's attempting to find something out of the Ice or Stone Age, he will have to be clear on his necessities. Whether it be dinosaurs or the setting of an exotic land, anything is possible.

Once the requirements are made known to the staff at Green screen studio, it is their job to provide all the tools that are required to ensure that the shot is done according to the specs provided. All through the year, the staff is faced with challenging ever-changing situations where the requests keep getting more demanding than before. Nevertheless, they try hard to provide what the director is trying to find so that they are able to maintain their reputation as a one-stop shop for all studio necessities.

Since the Green screen studio can be hired out by the hour, there are folk who are prepared to working out an arrangement so the studio can be hired for a longer period at a reduced cost. The amount paid also permits the director and his crew to be helped by a technical person who is able to make sure that all the equipment is working properly and in the right way. Once this is done, the work can go on unhindered and the final result will be miles better than the director was actually hoping for. Even artists begin to feel that sense of professionalism that pervades the whole studio, which engulfs the staff too. - 2364

By Helena Wong

Undertakers' or funeral directors' task is to make preparations for funeral ceremonies and other related needs and requirements. Mentioned below are a few of the essential skills and qualifications that undertakers should possess to succeed in their profession.

As his services may be required at any time of the day, an undertaker should be open to working at odd hours too. He must be ready to spend most of his time outside because of the unique nature of the job.

The undertaker must be able to understand the feelings of clients, listen and comprehend their requirements and interact lucidly. People from various cultures, religions and ethnicities as well as those of any age will have to be handled with aplomb by him. He should be compassionate and must empathize with others. But he will need to offer support to the grieving family and must stay strong and mentally detached to be able to do so.

As an undertaker, an individual must project a dignified and calm personality, while seeing that his behaviour doesn't intensify the sorrow of the grieving family members and relatives.

By nature, undertakers should be broad minded. They should be willing to honour the traditions and beliefs of all communities and must be learned in this field. They should also be aware of the funeral rituals and burial customs of different sects.

Take Your Company Public and Use Securities For Loan

By James Scott

Many entrepreneurs and executives want to move forward with the process of going public merely for the ability to raise capital through the sale of stock. They usually don't think of the strategies necessary to keep the momentum going such as how much equity to give up initially, how much equity to sell ongoing, how to capitalize off of the use of the securities as collateral for loans and lines of credit and so on.

One of the most profound strategies companies can use to retain company equity while capitalizing off of their public entity is to put up portions of their securities as temporary collateral for loans and to use securities to grow through acquisition of strategic alliances.

Stock should be looked at as cash and designated for appropriate purchasing strategies. Stock monetized through collateralized lending can work wonders as long as the exit strategy is in place and secure. Your attorney should be well versed in this activity and audit the contract for convertible aspects which could strip the transaction of its advantageous nature.

Debt that converts to equity means giving up a huge bartering chip for future transactions. Don't give up equity unless you have to. There are scores of companies that will lend against your securities without having to give up long term equity. Use this strategy wisely and you'll never have a problem getting capital.

Also, using stock to purchase strategic partners is more relevant now than ever. Purchasing a company with stock that can be monetized over time is an incredible way to grow through acquisition. Going public on the OTCBB is a quick and easy way to start using the countless capabilities for capitalization with a public entity. Going public simply to raise capital with your market maker or broker dealer would be selling yourself short. Take advantage of the countless ways your securities can work for you. - 2364

Things To Consider When Building A Modern Office

By Xaris Ruiz

There were times when contemporary office designs were considered just a luxury, but now it has become a need that a company cannot do without. Nowadays it is almost universally accepted that good office design reflects the work philosophy of the organization and raises the productivity levels of employees, besides ensuring employee retention.

Openness, flexibility and sustainability are the three key principles that you need to keep in mind when constructing a modern office. To attain these objectives you need to make judicious choices of office system furniture and the entire office interior design, for which you should consider some important aspects.

Firstly, it is necessary to understand the kind of work that will be carried out in the office. This together with the floor area of your office will help you suitably decide on the interior design. While planning the layout you also must consider the present workforce and how it is expected to grow in the coming years.

You should include cafeterias and meeting rooms as well in your layout within the available space besides essential items like office desks and some pieces of office system furniture. Your office must also have zones for recreation with provisions for indoor games so that the staff can have a nice time playing and conversing after work. Moreover, the office should be planned in a manner that ensures optimum space usage without being too cluttered.

A theme of minimalism and use of soft and soothing colour choices that would not divert the attention of the employees are important features of a perfect office interior design. It must also be well lit, with sufficient sources of natural light.

Modern office system furniture is stylish and more customized, which helps in raising the spirits of the employees and creates a positive impression among the customers. However, ergonomics is a vital consideration for choosing office desks and other office furniture, as badly designed furniture poses health risks for the employees.

If you want to project an environment friendly image of your organization then you can opt for 'green' office furniture. You will take a positive approach against ecological degradation if you opt for this kind of furniture, which is typically made from natural fabrics and recycled products. Besides, you can select energy efficient lights and other electrical devices that will help you lower your energy usage.

To design such an office, it is essential that you use the professional services of office interior designers so that along with all the utilitarian and aesthetic features, safety issues can also be effectively dealt with. - 2364

Social Marketing

By Justin Harrison

Social marketing is a part of the Web 2.0 development that uses social networking sites and blogs to market your product or business on the world wide web. This kind of advertising makes for a more personal connection between you and your customers.

Social marketing is unobtrusive marketing. If you are too pushy and members begin to see you as a salesman type, they will probably remove you from their friend list. You should endeavour to be seen as an authority in your field, and to build up relationships with possible customers by facilitating open discourse with them. By nurturing good relationships with customers, and opening up online communication with them, you will be able to get trustworthy feedback which you can use to improve your product or service, and which will also help you better understand the particular consumer group you are trying to reach. The simplest ways in which to do this are through blogging or through the more popular networking sites such as uTube or MySpace where members are able to and happy to comment on your work.

The more visible a brand name is, the higher the recall of that brand name with people. However, the impact of a marketing campaign is crucially dependent on the users' brand experience, hence the need for a positive experience. This can be achieved through amusing videos or articles, providing useful information or even using competitions built around the product. By utilizing appropriate techniques, social marketing can help establish a new brand or strengthen the awareness of an existing brand.

Bloggers and web designers are commonly looking for interesting content they can use on their web sites. If you are able to give them quality articles they may begin using them on their sites. With this method you can create thousands of hyperlinks to your web site with every article you write. Popular articles are capable of being read by many bloggers that would like to comment.

Due to the fact that the goal of many marketing campaigns is to improve sales, this is something important to consider when it comes to social marketing. Even though social media interactions don't commonly generate sales they do provide a way to develop a positive relationship with customers and provide brand awareness which can generate more sales in the long run.

Social marketing is cheap. In fact, with the exception of a time investment, there are no explicit costs. Therefore each successful lead generates a net positive return. If you don't have much capital then social marketing is the most budget-friendly technique to generate interest in what you have to offer.

If you use the internet to draw customers in, there is no over head costs, because you can do this yourself. And then you will have more money you can put into your company. Any one who can use a computer can set up a company web page. This is so easy to do. I mean people use the computer everyday for everything. - 2364

By John Farcikan

There is a lot going on when it comes to finances in the world today. People have lost their jobs and are desperately looking for ways to make a little money. You don't have to look any further! In this article I will tell you how to earn an extra income and still have time to do other things!

What are the ways I can make some extra money? What do I have to do to get some dough around here?

The number one thing you can do is to go out and find a second job. That is an easy and simple way to get some extra money! On top of your job you can deliver some pizza or get a paper route. Get a part-time job that you can work around your already hectic schedule. This way of getting money is by far the most guaranteed to succeed as compared to other alternative sources of cash flow.

Another way to go about putting more money in your pocket is to sell a product of some sort. You can sell an old piece of furniture that no one uses that sits in your garage if you'd like. You could also sell something you make if you have some sort of talent. You can carve rocking chairs or even bake pastries. You can start your own little business and be making a lot of money! Sell your items for a reasonable price and I guarantee, if they're good, that people will be flocking to you to purchase them! You can make anything you want, so get up and figure out what you are good at and start making money off doing it!

Yet another option is for you to take surveys online or do some mystery shopping. There are many businesses that would love to hear your opinion on what you have to say about their products or their customer service. All you have to do is sign up for a mystery shopping service then wait for a call. You can walk out with a free pizza or some extra money in your pocket!

The last way is to do small side jobs. These jobs include mowing the lawn or trimming the hedges.

That is all there is to it to make a little extra money. There is a wide variety of things you can do and they are only limited by your imagination. - 2364

Determining when to use a CS-Mount Security Camera in your Security System

By Tim Vale

C-mount security cameras (or cs mount security cameras, as they are sometimes called) were the first security cameras and defined the industry. In 1970's and 1980's, c-mount camera were invented, but they were simply known as security cameras because c-mount security cameras were the only format available. The iconic boxy c-mount format was necessary because in the 70's the circuit boards and other internal items in cameras were still very bulky. As technology has improved over time, security cameras were able to get much smaller and the bullet camera style has begun to define the idea of a security camera.

Even though c-mount cameras no longer reign the industry, c-mount cameras still retain many reasons to use them in your security camera setup. The biggest of these reasons is their superior resolution, because cs-mount cameras still give the highest resolution of any security camera style. Their advantage in resolution os due to their increased size when compared to other security camera kinds. CS-mount security cameras can deal with a 1/2 inch chip set, but most other cameras can only accommodate 1/4 or 1/3 inch chip types. With an increased size chip set the camera has more pixels than a smaller one, and a greater number of pixels results in a higher quality video. A larger chip set also makes the camera be able to pick up light better in low-lighting conditions.

C-mount surveillance cameras make excellent indoor cameras, but to be used outside they must be mounted in protective housings and with more secure brackets, to protect them from harsh weather conditions and the elements. Because of their superior video quality, large businesses and government installations use the majority of c-mount security cameras.

Every c-mount cameras has a varying ability to see in low lighting conditions. To know how well the camera works in poorly lit conditions, you will need to look up it's lux rating. A lower lux rating means that the camera will be able to operate better in lower light. Because cs-mount cameras can deliver color video in poor lighting conditions, c-mount security cameras are especially valued in crime-fighting and government operations. Lower lux ratings usually correlate with more expensive machines.

When shopping for a cs-mount surveillance camera, it is important to not forget that they do not come with a lens, which makes them both initially more expensive and more adaptable. Having a large initial price tag does not tell the whole story, however, as most c-mount surveillance cameras become far cheaper in the long run. The reason for this is that often a cs-mount security camera can be repositioned in a security setup that has changed just by buying a new lens rather than having to buy a new camera.

The biggest downfall of a cs-mount security camera is that they are hard to use outside. If you want to use a c-mount camera outdoors, you will need to obtain a c-mount housing, which will protect it from rain, wind, and other environmental factors. Another piece of equipment you will need is a mounting bracket, this allows you to mount it in a variety of positions and on specialized surfaces. Some housings come equipped with heaters and blowers so that they can be used in the very high and low temperatures.

In addition to being able to support the newest technological advances before other camera styles, the shape of c-mount cameras also have another advantage. They are blatantly obvious. Many banks and large businesses employ cs-mount surveillance cameras simply because they send the obvious message that would be thieves are being observed.

Basically, cs-mount cameras should be your first choice if you're looking for a high quality, crisp clean video capture, an indoor camera with virtual cornucopia of options, or a camera that can work even in low lighting. Conversely, If you are looking for an outdoor camera that doesn't need to work at night or have the highest resolution, might want to research a bullet security camera. If you are looking for an indoor camera, there is nothing better. - 2364
